Good Practice Compendium

The Good Practice Compendium brings together examples of innovation and improvement shared by services through the NHSE Learning Disability Improvement Standards (LDIS). These initiatives highlight practical, real-world approaches to enhancing quality of care, improving efficiency, and supporting better outcomes for people with a learning disability and/or autism, and for staff.

In 2025, 57 case studies were selected to showcase good practice based on the narratives submitted by services to the LDIS data collection. These examples reflect the breadth of work taking place across the system to meet and embed the Learning Disability Improvement Standards.
